See the movie " the martian" and know that compared to you, he had it easy.
See the movie "starship troopers" and know that invading cows will worse than those ant aliens.
I have been told that well water can be brackish and maybe a little radioactive (uranium mining) but I have no first hand knowledge.
Forget growing anything in that soil without giving it serious help. I have no idea how those junipers are growing to the east of you.
I have a place about seven miles west of you and my point is that you have to rethink everything out here.
I make another trip out there this week and I'm bringing 22% white shade cloth for the
greenhouse and a big piece of 20 mil
pond liner for the fish pond/rain catchment pit.
I will also cough it up for three rolls of barbed wire and some more t-posts. I have not seen cows around my place for 16 months and I'm interested to see what seeded last summer. I will
fence off ten acres.
You can see my pit
greenhouse efforts on youtube: "desert life pit green house"
I have been refining the water pumps and will post again when there is more growth and it's more interesting.
