There was a guy midwest collecting male Osage Orange
With males you do not get the fruit.
He collected cuttings from the upper branches where there were no thorns.
He was looking for landscape trees for cities.

If you can find someone with trees you just need cuttings, since the root easily.

cold stream farms in michigan has them. also has black locust if you're looking to grow a living fence.
