I have a long-term plan for acquiring a family to share our land, as there is more than we need and we don't have family members to share it with at this time. I'm looking forward to my "retirement years" sharing this land with some permie folks. In preparation for that, I want to begin planning a tiny homestead, with a Zone 1 area of about a quarter acre, but with more land available for outer zones. What features can be considered most important for a very small, compact design for a tiny homestead suitable for a tiny home-on-wheels or similar small structure? What should I be thinking about in preparing a space for someone else to install their own design, or should I have a complete design ready to implement when the time comes?

I hope this doesn't sound too vague, I'm only in the very preliminary planning stages of this project.
