New Here Saying Hi

Just Joined up today. I have so far, been one of those people that have a brown thumb.  I live off grid, w/ a solar system that is not big enough, because my wallet is not big enough.  It is very important to me to eat "organic" only. I tried to grow in a little garden plot in 08 before my health went down. It was not so great. Everything from grasshoppers to snails ate my entire garden. I can not really get out side any more and live in a tiny trailer. There is an area across the room that I want to turn into an indoor food forest eventually. that is far off, but I sure need to start growing a couple pots of organic edibles! Figured if I join here it could break me of my "brown thumb"  I figure I have to start somewhere.  I have a couple handyman who could probably help me get something put together, once I know what to do.

Something to consider, AZ is a tough region. If you grow something that isn't covered in thorns or poisonous or foul tasting, every bug reptile bird and mammal will want a bite of it.

So protecting a garden becomes a pretty critical step in keeping a garden in such a region.

Though since you planning an indoor garden now, it should be easier to regulate those pressures from critters wanting to raid your hard work.
