I have 5 or 6 rabbits still in my freezer from our last harvest, but I don't know how to cook them. They were slightly older rabbits so probably need to cook them slow, but what do I put with it? On it? HELP!!! Last 10 or so I did I put with paprika, onion, garlic, salt and pepper and cooked most of them over carrots and potato's in a crockpot. They were good but we need a change. Thanks!!
I would also say that recipes calling for pork can also often replace pork with rabbit.
Personally my favorite way to cook rabbit is over open flame/coals slowly over several hours, a good olive oil coating to keep moist and light salt and pepper. Nothing else. Simple but delicious rabbit that doesn't try to be anything else.
