I would like to call forth those interested in starting a local co-op urban farm in phoenix AZ. I am not attached to the Model used to run it (501 (c)(3), Non-profit, LLC, community organization) My main interest is in developing the skills and connections to eventually do this as a way to sustain myself.  I will gladly consider all advise on any aspect as well as references to people that are doing this successfully.

I envision this project to serve as a stepping stone for those interested in homestead life that are just unable to develop practical skills due to time, money or land constraints. My intention is for this project to follow principles of permaculture and focus our energy on anything that might serve both its members and the community. Interests include but are not limited to; Agroforestry, Bioconstruction, husbandry, Soil Regeneration, Grey water systems, Composting, Water catchment systems, aquaponics, gardening, educational workshops, Etc.

Expect this to be a journey with many challenges that build Character, summons your creative process, enhances inter/intra personal relations and facilitates community cohesion, resilience and independence.
I will be open in declaring that there is no land available at the moment for this project yet I am confident that it will develop and its pieces will fall into place once a few committed individuals come together.

If you're planning to start a co-op, choosing the right business structure is an important first step. An LLC operating agreement can help clarify ownership, responsibilities, and how decisions will be made.

This article explains the basics of an LLC operating agreement: https://nocturnallegal.com/blog/arizona-operating-agreement/

Since your project is in Phoenix, an Arizona attorney familiar with both LLCs and nonprofit organizations could help you decide which structure fits your plans.
