Glad I found this place! Look forward to having a look around. ME you ask, I'm an almost retired Military fella who just bought 20 acres off grid in Eastern Washington. I shall be moving there as soon I get my retirement paper work in June or July. It is ready to move in but has no accommodations for veggy growin at the moment. I plan on building an in-ground solar green house asap, maybe even next summer if there's enough time. I have been spending most of time learning alternative energy, think I've got that dialed, now its time to move onto food! Thanks for the bitchin website and I look forward to reading some good stuff.

We have quite a few users here from eastern WA.
Where in eastern WA will you be located?
I spent quite a bit of time searching around the Stevens County area.
Lots of nice properties in that region.

I added your intro post to the 'Rockies' forum.  Most of eastern WA is considered 'the Steppes' to the Rockies.
