Japanese traditional fine woodworker and carpenter looking for work in New Zealand.

Hello,

I am searching for a fine woodworking/cabinetry or carpentry job in New Zealand. My foundation is in fine Japanese woodwork and carpentry. I have done everything from fine furniture, cabinet and door work to timber frame buildings. I learned through a 4 ½ year apprenticeship with a company specializing in traditional Japanese architecture and woodwork where a lot of joinery and refined techniques were used. My passion for fine woodworking doesn’t stop at the job site. I continue to study intricate carpentry layout and challenge myself with roof models at home. I also design using 3d programs.  I am not limited to just working in the Japanese style but it has proven to be a strong foundation to approach all woodworking and carpentry projects. I have also done work with natural building techniques such as straw bale, light straw clay infill  and cob.

I love New Zealand and long to return with my Family to settle down and start new roots. I met my wife in New Zealand while we were both backpacking in 2010. The country had a profound impact on our lives. Basically I need a full time (30hr week) job offer to be able to immigrate through New Zealand’s skilled migrant category. I am 33 and my family and I would like to Immigrate within the year 2017. We are German and US citizens. If anyone may know of a job opportunity that I would fit in please let me know. I am willing to fly to New Zealand to do an interview or whatever it takes. Thank you so much

Shawn
