Has anyone here harvested and processed wild rice? This is something I'm interested in trying.

The harvest methods are pretty straightforward, but I need a little practical advise on processing.

wild rice is not rice, but more like buckwheat.... which of course is not wheat. You might find out more by looking up buckwheat is what I am trying to say. You must have some open water....

I have always liked the taste of wild rice.

i'm most interested in the parching process. As far as I know buckwheat does not need to be parched.
