I have a common snapper. People that keep turtles know their water is pretty gunky at times. Even as a small turtle he produces a lot of waste. When he is 40 pounds, that equals quite a bit of poopy water!
I am eventually transferring Snappy to the livestock area of the property and was thinking about composting with his refuse water for plants.
Anyone using turtle water as a fertilizer additive?
I'm not sure about salmonella but I figured if it was composted right that bad things would die off. Right?
Snappy must earn his keep eventually! I'd hate to have to eat him, lol.
