Will ducks eat Japanese Beetles?

I am hoping that the addition of some ducks can help me reduce the Japanse beetles we have been getting hit with the last few years - does anyone know if they will eat them if I shake them off my trees and shrubs for them??

Yup they will eat them.  A lot of beetles will fly away if you shake them off when the sun is warming them.  I find that the best time to get the most of them to hit the ground is either early in the morning or in the evening, when the beetles are colder and more slow.  

I don't know about ducks but my chickens always thought it was candy.

With another thought. I've planted rue, white geraniums and four-o'clocks near at-risk plants (roses and their family) and have had great success in keeping the Japanese beetles to a minimum.
