Just read "Labor-Saving Firewood Trailers" in Farm Show, vol 35, no 1. Ted Slaght built 8 different trailers out of old pick up rear ends, and roofed them. He did this inexpensively by getting old tires from junk yards, and so each trailer cost him less than $20 to build. In the fall, he just tows a trailer up to his house (each holding 1 cord), and parks it so he never has to haul the wood.
