Training a young fig advice

I’ve got a young fig of unknown species that is growing pretty tight. It’s my first tree so I’m not sure how to go about it but I want to open it up a bit. Is it to soon to pull/push them apart or will it benefit me going into next year? How do y’all open up your trees?

I leave my fig trees alone, they will open up fairly well all by themselves for the first few years.
Once they have two year old wood you can think about doing some minor pruning if they have developed crossing branches.
 
The moth suit and wings road is much more exciting than taxes. Or this tiny ad:
