So I let a hen go broody in my garden this year and she totally decimated my mulch. I made a video tour of it and then re-mulched it all, here's the before & after. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE! 😂 "It's just one hen" quickly becomes one hen + 15 babies. Oh my gosh I will never ever permit that to happen again, EVERRRR.

Yeah a couple of rogue hens have found a hole in the netting over their coop and sneak into the vegetable garden every day or two. I rarely see them do it but the little cabbage and kale plants keep getting buried under the straw.
Finally put tomato cages over them to keep them from being buried alive. When chickens see mulch they need to check under every square inch of it to see what is hiding underneath.
