Hello Oregoners

Hows the climate in Klamath County? Older precipitation maps show it as having around 14-18 inches of rain per year for most of the area. Newer maps show a bit less, however I have seen drought warnings for the area. Is the area arid, is it like high desert? Its kind of hard to tell from the pictures I have been looking at online. I wondering specifically about the area near Beatty and within aprox. 15 miles.

Looks beautiful, just a little out of our price range.

I just spent a week searching Mendocino, Humboldt, Trinity and Lake Counties for rural mountain acreage. Favorite area is definitely near Weaverville and up around Burnt Ranch and Mad River.

3 of us are looking to build a small little homestead in the area, 2 small houses and a large garden with some egg layers. We are looking for 10+ acres, flat to gently sloping in a good portion of it. Slightly wooded would be nice and access to a spring or able to drill a well. No more than 1 hour from basic supplies. Off-grid with no utility easements to get in the way and percable.

If the parcel is bare we will need owner financing with a down payment, if the land has houses we are qualified for mortgage.
