thanks for recommendation; any specific towns of east Texas?

yeah I was thinking maybe upstate im actually working for a month on perme farm there so that will give me good feel of that. I know that id get a lot more freedom and land in other states. But maybe theres a great county upstate that. Type of church definitely matters and would be able to find one that fits in south/midwest much easier. If I can get the land, freedom and church in New York id stay here. But I dont want to force something thats not here. Deciding on where to live is something I need to continue to be open to and learn about.

I know I definitely dont want a desert climate. I grew up around the ocean so I would love to be around water of some kind. I love the mountains and woods. The ocean itself is near impossible as people always want to move there; which is understandable. Due to where I grew up I am drawn to a generally colder and coastal climate so I have been looking into Maine. But those winters are HARSH and churches are few and far between. I have been looking to the Ozark region as I have family there and some of them may chip in with me on this lifestyle. I haven't posted the idea to them yet though.

Hi all this is my first post on here. I currently live on Long Island and am looking to move in 5 years. I was wondering if anyone can tell me about their experience moving from Long Island or the suburbs in general? Where did you move to and why? I'm also looking to find a place that is not going to blow up like the Carolinas/Florida and Tennessee looks like it's heading that direction as well unfortunately. My Christian faith is also very important to me and if anyone has any experience moving to a different place and finding a Bible believing/following church, I would love to hear about your experience in that area as well.

Hey Eric Im christian from Long Island looking to get out of the consumerism. I know what you mean I think many in the church are "part of the world" in that way.
