Hi all this is my first post on here. I currently live on Long Island and am looking to move in 5 years. I was wondering if anyone can tell me about their experience moving from Long Island or the suburbs in general? Where did you move to and why? I'm also looking to find a place that is not going to blow up like the Carolinas/Florida and Tennessee looks like it's heading that direction as well unfortunately. My Christian faith is also very important to me and if anyone has any experience moving to a different place and finding a Bible believing/following church, I would love to hear about your experience in that area as well.

Welcome to Permies!

First off do you feel drawn again and again to any particular place? Do you have family somewhere out in the countryside? (Usually good to have family around so long as they are supportive!)

A friend was planning on moving to one region but fell in love with a different area while passing through, and then eventually settled on the exact place through dreams and coincidences. Even though it is not a particularly easy place to live this person now wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Would you turn that thing down? I'm controlling a mind here! Look ... look at the tiny ad ...
