This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Gardening.

As long as we're growing a lot of food, let's try growing some other things.  Gourds have been selectively bred for centuries to create useful shapes.  Let's try our hand at growing some!

Here's a wonderful video on growing and processing gourds:

Minimum requirements:
 - Grow, dry and process 5 gourds
 - They can all be the same type if you want
 - Seeds/innards removed
 - Cut/drilled/modified for a final useful or artful purpose

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - Gourd plant(s) when they're young
  - Green gourds on the plant(s)
  - Dried gourds
  - Midway through processing into final form
  - Five finished gourd projects

The human mind is a dangerous plaything. This tiny ad is pretty safe:
