Podcast 069 Discussion - building a better world

So this is one that had been festering in me for a while.  I just felt it was some things that needed to be said. 

People want to hear permaculture information when they hear one of my podcasts - was this on topic enough?

I find this sort of thing interesting to listen to, but one observation I'll offer is that discussing "social justice / politics / third ethic" type stuff in your podcasts is going to tend to encourage those sorts of discussions amongst your community.  The problem is that you have said many times that you don't want to encourage those discussions here, which is where we hang out!  Since you quoted me talking about how only lazy people complain rather than offer solutions, here's a few for you to consider:

[li]Set up a forum specifically for those discussions, and don't read it yourself

[li]Sign off these types of episodes with "If you like this sort of thing, stay the fuck away from the forums at permies.com, where we avoid discussing the third ethic, politics, and social justice aaaaaall the time"

[li]Enjoy the fact that you (as master of your domain) can indulge yourself in double standards - I sure would!
