Since 1997 the United Nations has been coming together in a particular assembly to discuss environmental issues that affect the world. This meeting is known as the Global Environment Outlook. The purpose of these meetings is to take a look at the current state of the global environment, analyze the drivers behind various aspects, and identify areas of improvement (particularly policy but other areas as well). In order to get an accurate snapshot of the current condition of the world, they aggregate data and information from all over and compile it in one resource. The latest edition of this resource has just been released (March 2019) and is open source. This document is literally 745 pages of the most up to date data on ecological issues we are facing as a planet. Pretty cool stuff. And scary... Not everything in there is gold, the authors proposed some solutions that I would question, and interpreted some data in ways that made me scratch my head, but a lot of it is really good too. Sadly, I only found one mention of
