I find it worrisome, what the beetle does is so small scale, but what man will do won't be.
What happens to humility, weather patterns and rain fall when they suck the moisture out of the air to water the plants?

What do you think... will this mess up natures balance?

He didn't say how much it harvests in his video, but he said his prototype harvested 1 litre per day. At the rate we get charged for water in south australia, that means it will generate a dollar's worth of water in 1-2 years. Then you have to pump that he says. I reckon the groasis makes a lot more sense, at least it is a completely passive system.

Honestly I think it's just another one of those stupid things that expends a lot of resources to try to do something that nature can already do for free. Just plant a fricken tree, for gods sake!

No. Nature will replenish the moisture that it wants to have in the atmosphere by recycling from somewhere else.

yea it would have to take millions of those of a decent size to affect the weather. I really like the idea for my own land where I'm using some Groasis box's right now...

I also don't have a well out there as its so deep to water & i'm off grid so powering a deep well and such... it doesn't make sense. I currently truck water out for my own use, and collect rainwater but being able to use one of these to make a well on my property is what i'm looking at. I'm pretty handy so I plan on making one to try out, i have a few ideas to improve it based on my technical background...
