I'll be running the program that picks the winners later today, or possibly even tomorrow. I'll be on the road most of today.

In the meantime, I would like to get feedback from folks on the event.

I know that we were in the middle of a software upgrade during the event. But I think things went pretty smoothly despite that.

If we have the bumps out of the system, it should be easier to do another promotion.

It's all very silky smooth out at coderanch.com - because we've done it damn near every week for ten years. But, maybe there were some bumps in the road that I didn't notice?

The only bump I noticed was that I and a few others were were a little unclear on how exactly to enter.

My suggestion is form a sub-forum for promotions. That way it's easy for everyone to know where to post their questions and after the promotion ends an administrator can move the questions to the correct permanent forum.

My internet access has been very spotty the last few days. Especially today. And the software for picking the winners is off-line. Hopefully I'll be able to do it tonight.
