dear all, just joined this as have had to be on a teeny dose of scullcap tea, for a month, using only a 1/2 tsp with a brew of a large pinch of herb in a cup water steeped till cold for a bout 3 hours and then poured out,
can i use this herb do you know indefinately,??
i have wondered if any of you have used longterm and how,?? and any things to be careful with it .??
cant get clear info where i am.. needing it fast as getting a bit of heart palpitation but i dont have any other recourse, long story!!
have read it can depress if use too long??
if you have any info to help me fast would be very grateful. all local herbalists seem to be vague on problems with it or else unavailable.!! .
i am left with few resources for a ghastly sleep disorder and mcs, allergies and cant touch benzos or drugs or even melatonin.. !!
so experiences with it would be greatly appreciated.. hope this is ok.. !! thanks a lot..!!

Maggie, I just saw this and apologize for not seeing sooner. I am not sure why you have such high sensitivity to skullcap (sometimes spelled scullcap) as this has not been my experience at all. However, I had found it combines well with other nervine herbs, like catnip, passionflower, lemon balm, chamomile, and others. What are you using it for? Skullcap is a specific for the central nervous system and the brain and in my experience is excellent. Also, do you have high sensitivity to many gentle herbs, or just this one? Since you are not on medications, I am guessing there is no interactions either. Scratching my head on this one!
