Hello the world of permies.com. My name is Cole. I am a gardener from Alabama. I am currently working on my sister's property to build a garden that I want to eventually build into a forest garden. And I am working on making a film about the problems of traditional/industrial/chemical agriculture and the solutions of the permaculture. I am fairly close to Paul Gaustchi's Back to Eden method, with some subtle differences. Where I am trying to reincorporate societal waste into compost/garden soil such as yard trimmings(grass clippings, leaves, twigs, wood chips) and food waste from supermarkets, recycling local animal manures, multiplying worm populations, and I am planning into incorporating many more techniques. I am 19 years old(very young to be into gardening, let alone permaculture) I got into gardening because I wanted to get outside of the traditional money system. So I would want to live in a community where I would provide my value in the production of food in the community, as apposed to paying with money for the rent. I do not require hardly any living accommodations, I have been homeless in the past, so I am used to living in abnormal living conditions. I just want a place to stay and be accepted, I have grown up in a Conservative Christian atmosphere, but now I want to get away from that. After I have helped my sister learn to garden, I will be looking into moving into a community sometime within the next 1 to 2 years, but i want to build a relationship with the people I would want to live with, as communities of non-related can be broken down due to estrangements between members and I want to avoid that. I would love to hear from anyone one here with an opportunity for community. email me at colenoblit137@gmail.com
Peace

We can walk to school together. And we can both read this tiny ad:
