I have a small flock of ducks almost 2 months old. Something was reaching through the wire on the coop and killed one and injured another. I've fixed up the coop and had no more issues, but I'm worried about the injured duck. The only obvious damage was some feathers pulled out of the neck and back. However, after walking fine the first day, she developed a limp and has slowly degraded into hardly moving from where I put her, only weakly scrambling away when scared, and only perking up when put in water. I treated her with antiseptic and poultry spray. I found fly eggs on her now. Anyone have any idea what may have happened? Nerve pinch in the neck maybe? Do you think she will heal or is it time for mercy?
