Polyculture mini jungle_2019

Wanted to share some pics of plants growing together as a happy family.
Most plants seeded on BioDynamic days, compost extract applied a few times.

Nice healthy plants with a good assortment of types - a mini food forest!

I've often seen the straw bale technique used but never had the opportunity to use it - we've been in severe drought for years and all available straw/hay is being diverted to outback graziers to feed their stock, making the price of it too damn expensive to use in the garden or chook run. We do have access to sugar cane bales though, maybe try them instead.
