New Question about Compost & Tea Bags

I'm so excited to begin my journey into composting and compost teas. (I've been a flower and food grower for quite a while, but compost & compost teas are new to me)
I recently bought "compost tea bags" and they were dried. I'm curious if those are able to be made DIY style at home for the home grower. Or if there are better alternatives.
My objective would be to source from my own property and do things as close to nature does as possible....but I liked the idea of a shelf stable tea bag.

You can and should make your own from compost from your land. (check my soil series for tips on compost making and teas)

Compost tea bags are simple, I use loose weave muslin cloth and sew my own now that I've used up my stash of grain sample bags from Bunge Corp.
I make mine 5" wide and 12 inches deep then add a draw string made of cotton butcher string, these work great and you can wash them for reuse.

I hope you enjoy exploring the possibilities of compost/compost teas for nurturing your soil and plants. These activities can often lead you to a deeper insight into the Nature all around which can be interesting.

I also aspire to be closer to nature in the things I do but sometimes convenience and budget trumps the best solution, hence the pic. Muslin is better but I had an old stocking to hand which was simple to tie without any faffing about. Compost ball around 5 ins(13cm) diameter.  Afraid I cannot help you with ‘dry compost’ unless you mean ‘Bokashi’ at a stretch or one of the stages of Indigenous Microorganism Tea (IMO).  When doing a run for actively aerated compost tea (AACT) I like to go straight from the compost heap to the bubbler to maintain a continuity of life, which should not be dry !   Hope that helps.
