I'm moving to the Athens, Georgia area, and I'm interested in practicing natural farming. I'm willing to work for cash or possibly volunteer on a natural farming farm. I don't expect to have any land for practicing on my own, but I want to post this message in case there are any opportunities that are not online yet. I didn't get any search results except for this forum, and I listened to a couple podcasts. I guess it's ok to send a private message if you aren't comfortable publicizing your news.

Hi, Kete. I just wanted to say welcome to Athens. We just moved back here a few years ago after being away for about 30 years. I'm working on a forest garden in our back yard and will keep you in mind for possibly helping me out at some point. I'm trying to learn KNF techniques myself. I've just gotten hooked up with this group that meets in Crawford, close to Athens: https://www.plowshareoc.org/. You might email them to ask about opportunities for the farm-scale work. They do farm tours fairly often, and I've found it to be really inspiring.

Thanks Diane, I'm interesting in helping and learning about KNF. I'm willing to meet at a public place in January. A PlowShare potluck might be the perfect place to meet!

Hi Diane,
How’s the food forest coming along?  I’m hoping to do the same and wondered if I might get your thoughts on species selection for Athens.
