I want to build a room with superadobe. It rains alot here during 3 months of thyear. I am in Ecuador, south America. In the coast. Will th errom be humid becasue of outside rfain? how do I impermeabilize the adobe walls? cement? another altrenative to cement? If there is humdity inside the room, or from the ground, will it stay inside becaujse of the adobe walls? Thank you very much for any help and insight on this subject. Luis

Hello Luis,

I am just a novice here, so maybe this is a bit of help for you.

I have found good amount of information on Superadobe/earthbag/hiperadobe on the following website:

earthbagbuilding.com

The blog is nice because they show earthen building information, as well as other aspects/ideas for design.

I know there are other websites, this is the one I am familiar with.

You can email them and ask your questions there., also. Sometimes they post people's questions on the blog to answer them, so that other folks in the world can see the answers.

You might also try connecting with Guiding Star Creations. They are based in the Pacific NW of US and travel other parts of the world, teaching and training.

Blessings,

Max
