Has anyone in the north country successfully overwintered oregano in the north country? If so, what variety?

I'm not quite in zone 4, I'm zone 5a in central ontario. I've been able to overwinter the 'common' variety. Bought my seeds from... http://www.damseeds.ca/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=94

If oregano won't overwinter for you, what about trying marjoram, oregano's wild cousin?

zone 4, oregano should overwinter for you too, if it seems iffy, mulch it

Thanks for your replies Brenda and Travis,

I didn't even think of Marjoram. Great idea! I'll plant both... and for sure I'll be mulching all my perennials. Nothing like fresh oregano!
