Permaculture Design Through the Seasons Certification Course at D Acres of New Hampshire
7 Weekends from April to November 2012

This course is especially useful for homeowners, planners, design professionals, community organizers, farmers, and gardeners. It is adapted to a wide variety of learning styles and is presented via lecture, images, video, group discussion, hands-on experiences, and exercises. Throughout the course each student will be working on a design project for their own property.

· Natural Systems and Biodiversity

· Aquaculture

· Mycology

· Site Analysis and Assessment

· Edible Forest Gardening and Sustainable Agriculture

· Natural/Earthen Building and Alternative Technology

· Sustainable Forestry

· Animals in the Permaculture System

· Greenhouse Design & Season Extension

· Village Design and Local Economics

· Food Preservation & Cottage Industries

From principle to practice! Class begins in April and meets one weekend per month through November, with the Northeast Permaculture Convergence in July optional. Tuition is $1200 by February 1st, $1300 by March 1st, and $1400 after March 1st. Includes overnight accommodations and 4 farm-fresh, organic meals.

The Instructors:
Steve Whitman has been teaching courses in sustainability and Permaculture in the northeast and internationally for seven years, and began practicing Permaculture years before.
Josh Trought, Regina Rinaldo & Beth Weick comprise the D Acres staff teaching cadre. We provide hands-on practical systems study & implementation of rural farm & community scale permaculture.
Plus guest instructors Dave Jacke and Keith Morris!

The weekends of the course are April 21-22, May 12-13, June 23-24, Northeast Permaculture Convergence in July, August 18-19, September 15-16, October 21-22, November 17-18.
