Anyone know of any permies in the Taos area? I just recently built a small casita on the Taos plateau and would like to connect with folks who have had some experience with developing a permaculture site.
hi everyone - Im up in the 4 corners area colorado at 7300 feet and have been off grid since 2014- would love to connect, share ideas, etc. Ive had some success in growing but Im having a really hard time getting fruit trees to flourish, especially apple trees.

i had to start using a self wicking system for alot of my garden plants and its works very well, especially if you dont have a steady water supply and water conservation is important for your property
What sort of wicking system are you using? I plan on experimenting with the buried terracotta "vase" idea for some of our bushes, we planted sea buckthorn and goji berries as well as some other bushes that that would probably work good with.
