Hi all,

I'm new here and I stay very interested in the hugelkultur sistem and wanted to give it a try.

I have 2 questions for the experts:

1- is it a good idea do use giant cane (Arundo donax) in hugelkultur beds?

2- How thick should be the top layer of soil in the hugelkultur bed?

Thanks in advance,

make sure that cane is completely dead before you add it to your Hukel beds. If not, you're going to have the cane growing there.
