Most folks know that some ants farm aphids. In my yard, I’ve seen that before, mostly fairly small ants of a size people (here) call “pea” ants. This year, I’m observing a larger ant farming something quite a bit larger than an aphid. I’ve attached a picture. They have a leaf pattern camouflage and are vaguely triangular. Anyone have any idea what they are?

Thanks,
Daniel

We call those leafhoppers. Chickens love them.

That’s it! It wasn’t hopping, even when poked, so I didn’t look in the hopper section of my big book. No chickens yet, but hopefully in the future.
