At the same time that I found
those walnuts, I also found what I now know to be air potatoes.
It was my first time seeing them, but they looked organic and beckoned to be brought home. Wasn't sure if they were some type of sponge or fruit or what. I'm a patient person and trusted that I would stumble upon the answer some day.

Awesome! I knew what they were. Of course I have eaten yamaimo, the root of air potatoes, but didn't know about their bulbils. So thanks for that thread, Caesar Smith!
Less confident in their viability than the walnuts, I waited to post in case they didn't sprout so as not to disappoint.
I stuck em in a pot and waited and forgot about them. It took a few days to remember what they were when they sprouted. When I did remember, I admit I danced a little dance.
