WORK/TRADE ON FARM IN THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS: My partner and I are looking for somebody with carpentry experience to exchange work for an RV living space on our 26 acres in Hot Springs, NC. Musicians, artists, nature and animal lovers welcome! Interested in having somebody help 2 or 3 days or ~15 hrs of work each week and available starting around August 1st for at least 1 or 2 months, preferably more. We could pay additional if somebody were able to work extra hours. Projects include (with help): building run-in shed for horses, replacing pasture fencing, creatively renovating corn crib to become cabin, constructing pit toilet and outdoor shower, mowing and weed eating, caring for horses, managing scrap wood bonfires, demo’ing buildings, building new chicken coop, prepping soil for spring garden, patching roofs, planting fruit trees, improving trail system, list goes on Cleaner lifestyle required (no smoking or heavy drinking). Couples welcome but pets not welcome (long story) but we may make exceptions for a very experienced person. Property located 4.5 miles west of Hot Springs surrounded by the hiking/rafting options of Pisgah and Cherokee National Forests, the French Broad and Laurel Rivers, and the Appalachian Trail (goes down sidewalk). There are small grocery stores and 7 restaurants/take-out food options in town, just 8 minutes away from our place. 27 mins from Marshall, NC and Newport, TN and 47 mins from Asheville, NC. RV is a 30-ft renovated 2006 model with slide out, large closet, AC and heat, queen bed and pull-out full bed. My partner is a carpenter and I’m self-employed; he coaches football, plays guitar and likes all forms of bikes; I enjoy plants, Spanish and workin g with horses. Please PM if interested!

Hi, my name is John. I live just north of Durham. I am self employed as a carpenter. I also grew up on a farm so I have plenty of knowledge in that area as well. If you would like to get in touch with me my email is silverlion0475@gmail.com.

Hi,
I'm wondering if you're still looking for carpentry help and work/trade.  I'm an experienced carpenter, remodeled an old farm house top to bottom, owned a little horse farm with my ex wife for 25 years, so I have all of the experience you're looking for.   I'm 61 yo, physically fit and healthy.  I am a smoker, although I don't smoke in the house, I'm a light/social considerate smoker and will respect your right to be a non-smoker.  You can contact me at daveboyce99@yahoo.com, if you're still looking for help/trade and my email is of interest to you.

Have a great day!

Dave
