you had me really excited for a second when i thought you had found a current manufacturer. thanks so much for posting though, gold mine of illustrations to reverse engineer from! i have seen some of them in lynn miller's books, this must have been one of his sources...

beautiful stuff...git'er done without hydraulics! ( i think slings will be easier to improvise than the grapples..)
