I would like to use it to mulch the paths and edges, for one, but also is there any reason to or not to add a little to the soil itself? Every winter we put some rabbit manure/hay/leaves down which I've read is good but this being our second gardening year... I don't really know. Thoughts on the grindings? It is probably a dumb question :)
I don't think it's a dumb question. I would use them the same as wood chips. Paths, added to
compost, piled on the garden. I wouldn't till them in, but I would pile them anywhere I needed organic matter or wanted to keep weeds down.
