Stupid question to many Im sure, LSS short, I have 2 wells on my property, one was never abandoned ( well driller didnt bother ) after the well driller broke off and left 28 feet of steel drill rod down its hole so it has been capped and sitting for a few months now. It was never properly sanitized but Im not even sure any of that is necessary since my primary well was also never sanitized and water tastes fine. ( I choose not to be afraid of things I cannot see )

Im gonna make a bailer bucket prob like seen here  


Once I pull the water out what do I need to do to sanitize it? I understand my statement above about no fear but I have seen the 28 feet of drill rod snap off, I know its down there, I also know that since the well ( if you want to call it that, technically its a pipe running down 128 feet into the sand prob not embedded into limestone ) has water just sitting in it never being cycled and possibly becoming stagnant.
