Can I eat the oyster mushrooms growing out of a block of straw+boiled iris roots?

I recently added some spent oyster mushroom block to a mix of straw & boiled iris roots (boiled to help them break down faster because they are pretty much indestructible) & the mushrooms seem to love the substrate! Considering irises are poisonous, would it be safe to eat the mushrooms growing on them?
