Posting private singles listings

We've recently had quite a bit of interest in people being able to post singles ads in a way that google can't find. We asked Paul, and he said he's a-okay with people posting their singles ads in one of our private forums. We've got quite a few to chose from!

Dailyish Forum: Anyone who's subscribed to the dailyish can make a thread in this forum, and can see your post in the forum. This means about half of all permies can see your listing, but Google and other search engines can't!

Pie-Only Forum: If you have pie, you can make a listing in the Pie forum. Only those with Pie can see it...of course, if you run out of Pie, you won't be able to see it, either. People in this forum have either paid for pie, earned it, or been given it for making awesome posts. A pretty select group!

Secret Inner Circle: This forum is for those that Paul thinks are super special or who have supported kickstarters. Google can't see it, and everyone in there is someone who's awesome enough to be liked by Paul or to have supported his kickstarter!

Pollinator Personals: Pollinators now have their own secret forum for posting singles and personal ads, as well as other private, personal stuff! If you're a Pollinator and want to only share your listing with fellow Pollinators, you can! Pollinators are a pretty select group of people who got their title because they've made lots of helpful posts.

Are there singles posts on the Dailyish that already exist for us to check out? I get the dailyish notifications and read them but I've never seen any singles posts on them. Guess I'm not understanding how this works.

Hmmm, I went and checked the Dailyish Forum and I don't see any posts in there. You could be the first!

I do know that there's been a few posts in the Pollinator's Personals, which is a singles/personals forum for just Pollinators, and is pretty new. But, not everyone has access to that, of course.

Thank you for bumping this old thread. I'd forgotten about it and should update it!

Hello all! I was here once, long ago, and I’m back. That said, things have changed so much that now I’m not sure if I’m doing this right. Forgive me if I’m not, please.

I am single and after several years, I am looking to retire that status.

I am currently existing in the state of Arkansas—a place I would rather not be. I have lived many places during my life, enough to know this isn’t where I want to remain until I die. The sooner I leave this most inhospitable place, the better.

I have endured personal tragedies that have taught me a whole lot about life in general, but particularly about the life I had before those tragedies. My perspectives have changed in nearly every facet of life. My arrogance was replaced by humility in the areas it was lacking.

It was because of those events in my life that I chose to be single. While emotional isolation betrays nature, sometimes it is necessary to take a break, step back, and objectively re-evaluate. I have done this ad nauseum.

I’m stepping out to rejoin society, but not as a whole. I only want to surround myself with like-minded people as such as possible.

I will respond and post when prompted. To learn more about me, though, you can visit my personal website. I decided to build this site when my fingers became tired or my voice became weak from repeating myself so often. The stories I tell are old news to me and have become tiresome to regurgitate over and again.

Some people would rather get the listicle version or be able to pick and choose what they want to know—for better or worse. This way, anyone can know what they would like to and at the pace they choose. Don’t be too disappointed, if you visit. Much like me, it is a work in progress.

It may sound like a lazy and impersonal way to do things, but it also accommodates my health issues and is there when my environment doesn’t allow me to be present.

It takes courage to step out of the isolation after enduring personal tragedies. I've been in a similar boat and searching for a peaceful shore to land my boat on.
