I am planning to mend a large Bible which has been left too long open on a lectern. Thus the stitching in the middle is partly broken. The covers are attached well so I don't want to alter them though the spine needs reattaching which I can do without problem. Obviously I don't want to break apart and restitch the whole Bible but can anyone help as to how to go about partly restitching the textblock?
