Jocelyn and I just recorded a "meta" podcast. Housekeeping-ish stuff for the empire.

It occurs to me that most people have weekends. They make plans around tuesday or wednesday on what sort of adventures will happen the following weekend. Maybe a hiking trip or a lazy weekend of watching movies and puttering in the garden. And sometimes they leave work early on friday to get a start. Maybe there are bars or sports teams involved.

For part of the podcast I wanted to express that I think that when I say "I'm busy" that it just sounds like a cheap excuse - so I was grateful to have jocelyn verify, publicly, how much time I have put into the empire every day. So now I can say it and it doesn't seem so flimsy.

I cannot remember the last time I ever thought of anything in terms of a weekend. I do the same thing every day. About once a month I take a half day off and try to ignore the empire.

But that's kinda how farming rolls, isn't it? No days off.

I've ridden that horse. You pray for crappy weather so you can take a day off.

4 months of non stop adventure has finally ended. I have the weekend off, maybe a couple more days after that.
What do I do? I log on to permies.com!
