I hope it's alright to repost this here. It seemed like a great resource to share!

The Oregon State University Extension service is holding the 2021 Grow This: OR Garden Challenge. This is the second year of the program.
Oregonians can receive free seeds while they last.  Anyone from anywhere in the world can join using their own seeds or to follow along anytime through September.

What is the Challenge? Grow different seeds.
Grow different seeds. Anyone can join using their own seeds! While supplies last, Oregonians who sign up for the Challenge and request seeds will receive four different seed packets free of charge. Oregon State University will send these seed packets to county Extension offices around the state for pick-up in March.  Some of the seed types to be mailed out are listed here: https://foodhero.org/growseeds They have some cold & warm weather annual veg, perennial herbs, perennial veg and pollinator friendly species available.

Read the press release here: https://today.oregonstate.edu/news/osu-extension-gives-away-seeds-grow-garden-challenge.

How do I join?
Fill out a short survey by clicking here and provide your email so they can coordinate pick up. Make sure to check your spam folders & whitelist oregonstate.edu: https://oregonstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cBWfcoywn1Isp8O.

Seed pickup (anyone can also join using their own seeds):
Seeds will be available by appointment in every county following county health department and Governor’s Office recommendations, including wearing face coverings and maintaining physical distance. No contact delivery is possible because seeds are in sealed envelopes that can be labeled and either put outside the office on a table or in some cases right inside the front door on a table for pickup.  (The cost of mailing seeds in 2021 is very high because they require special handling and Food Hero has so many seeds to distribute.)

Space seems cool in the movies, but once you get out there, it is super boring. Now for a fascinating tiny ad:
