Be present first.
For life to be a present, you have to stop thinking. Nature fills every gap, and when you stop thinking you start feeling. When you are in a state of feeling, you become positive. In that state you recharge. In the thinking state you drain. Just like a battery. Most people have only experienced the thinking state and are unaware that they are in a constant state of negativity while awake. You are either in a positive or in a negative state. Being in the negative state with "positive thoughts and intentions" is where you are probably at in this moment, reading this. Just keep it in mind. I am also in a negative state writing this, and whoever reads this will be in a negative state when you read this. Please confront your biggest fears before you continue reading, I will explain why later on.
So - intentional community. I belive that beauty can save the world. I've come to understand that fear is the main obstacle in life. Fear is a thought. It is the thought that you might feel pain in the future. The best way to deal with it is to find out what you are afraid of. Then you can compare it with pain, for example what you feel when you take a cold shower. It is a good way to wake up. If you fear to feel pain then you are not in the present, and to live in a community with me you need to want to live life as a present.
