I decided to clean my aquarium of some "waste"; mainly fish poop, leftover food, and unwanted plants. Of course there is no waste in living ecosystems; stuff can always go to compost pile, but I decided to make a new tiny setup of just the "junk". First I poured some gravel and I placed an ornamental shell in the middle (why not make it look pretty). Then I added excess hair algae (they do get eaten by guppies, but only when I cut them into tiny pieces), some plant that was supposed to sprout from seeds and create a "lawn" in the aquarium, but it's taking very long and producing some goo in the process; and I also caught some snails along with fish poop. Fish do love eating snails, but only in form of snail puree. Actually, the snail puree could be their favourite food, along with daphnia. So I don't think I'll ever have too many aquarium snails!

This jar will only receive sunlight and room temperature, so we'll see how it goes. I also added duckweed.
