Plum to cherry graft?

Have heard of successful unions of various cherries grafted to plum rootstock. But have seen no examples of the reverse. Have a surplus of hardy tart cherry rootstock and have often wondered if it might be worth the effort. New to grafting.  Sorry if silly question. Thanks!
