Seeking MAKERS SPACE in Asheville NC area

Hello,

I'm interested in joining a makers space ( if in fact this type of space exists ).  I'm currently concentrating on earthen oven construction ( cob ovens !! ).  I'm now leaning towards wanting to develop a wood working skill and am in a place to invest in tools and or a space/tool rental situation.  I'm currently living in the Asheville NC. area. I know there is many artist/makers here so I thought I'd give this post a try.

BTW, maker stuff is endlessly fascinating for me ... I'll have to see if there is a BIT, PEP, or some such for it ... I spend countless hours taking stuff apart and putting it back together in various ways ... maker spaces are essential to this.
