Does anyone use moss to amend their heavy soil?

Hey there, yup I said moss. Like moss growing on a tree. I’m curious if dried & shredded moss can achieve a similar result to peat. Thanks! Z

I think it would. Great experiment!

Getting enough volume to make a difference may be a challenge though. What I've read indicates deep peat deposits are sort of a fossil, hundreds or maybe thousands of years old.
