Hello friends and family! I wanna ask of you all if there's any comparison between the Winnebago or Ho Chunk and Sibley or Pike's peak squash. I know they're of native origin, but wanna find more truth between these two. One has came from Oscar will and the other came from Hiram Sibley from a seed company in New York. Some woman from Iowa grown and raised the Sibley squash in Missouri for 50 years. I'm trying to grow a historic Winnebago tribal garden for next year at my community farm, cause they were native to my region through the Ioway tribe. (Formerly a band of the Winnebago along with the Otoe and Missouri nations.) Please let me know if any of you have or found any  historic documents of the Sibley in this forum. Out and good night!

Back again in this box. I wanna find out if anybody has grown Winnebago or Ho-Chunk squash before? Oscar Will used to have the heirloom crop in his collection years ago.

Hello there! I'm planning to plant a Sibley squash this year for my Ioway-Ho-Chunk garden this year to help me remember the Ioway people's prehistoric time in my community and elsewhere in the region. I'm still looking for comparisons between the Nebraska Winnebago squash and the Wisconsin one to find out which is the original one closest to the Sibley. Thanks!
